Deciding which hotel to stay for a couple of day or so during your business trip or a long planned vacation can be a cumbersome task. Making all those phone calls and talking to several hotel personnel looking for a good deal can be tiring. We all want to be taken care of well or should I say we all want to be pampered from the moment we are fetched from the airport until the doorman opens the hotel entrance for us up to the point that our luggage is brought directly to our suite. These are all distinguished characteristics of a great hotel. Warm, friendly, accommodating, honest and sincere hotel personnel are just what we expect for a very pleasant stay. The waiters, elevator man, hotel manager, receptionist and every hotel staff should have the said traits for you to consider checking in with this hotel.
- Facilities and Amenities
Fine dine restaurants, recreation spas, golf courses, world-class resorts, casinos, amusement parks and entertainment centers are just few of the exceptional amenities that hotels can offer aside from the basic comforts. Some visitors are contented with the usual services but others want more. Some want to have an extra-ordinary experience while in a hotel, something different from their everyday life.
- Rates and Charges
Rates, fees and charges vary significantly among hotels and its classification. The classier your hotel is and the more services and facilities it can provide, the pricier it is. So do not be surprised if the 5-star hotel you just checked-out from charges you so much, for sure your stay was an extravagant one. Consider the level of comfort you want and the budget you are willing to set.
- Travel Time
Business professionals usually have non-negotiable argument when it comes to time. Thus, traveling time from the hotel to a specific business place or other locations is crucial. City traffics, accessibility to transportation systems, rush hours are all critical for people on the go. Consider having your meeting done at the business center or other function rooms of the hotel to save on travel time.
- Special Offerings
There are hotels that offer special packages for some of their services. Such offers give discounts, reimbursements, and other freebies. You may want to check if your hotel has such offerings.
