The Best Way To Travel
By admin | December 5, 2007

Another thing to consider that has a great impact on your traveling plans is deciding which transportation mode to utilize. So how do you exactly decide which one is the best? Apparently there is no general rule to apply when choosing but it will help if you have an estimate of how much time you can allot for the actual traveling. You may also check your budget and if you have to make some reservations. Also, the availability and schedule of the transportation mode during rush hours, off hours or when there is bad weather condition. Below are various transport modes with their pros and cons:
Traveling by Air
Generally, people traveling by airplanes are those roaming between countries or have a necessity for a speedy journey. Airplanes are more costly and some require reservations especially international flights. Airports have tighter security systems and use sophisticated equipment and technology. Traveling through the airports may require passengers to show and provide pertinent documents such as passport and Visa before entering a country or city. One disadvantage of air traveling is its dependency on weather conditions. An unexpected storm may prevent you from that very important business meeting.
Traveling by Land
Travelers can choose from a number of selections when traveling using the old fashioned way – traversing the road. It is usually cheaper since access to public transportations is easy. For people who have tight budget you can try car pooling. It is ideal for people who go to same work, attending festivals and other sporting events. And for those who do not have a budget hitchhiking still works. When traveling in land one can also choose the type of vehicle he wants to use according to his preferences. You can choose a truck, a sports car, an SUV, motorcycle, etc. The drawback for land traveling is it consumes a lot of time due to varying traffic conditions. Traveling by land is perfect when roving between states, cities, and counties.

Traveling in Water
Cruise ship is another way to travel. This is recommended for people who love the water. While cruising, one can experience breathtaking sunrise or sunset, whale or dolphin watching and observe a magnificent view of islands, reefs and rivers. One drawback for water traveling is the danger and risk when weather condition is terrible. Your trips may be canceled, or you may be stranded in a certain place until weather situation improves.
